Apple TV+ hosted the highly anticipated New York premiere of the limited series “Lady in the Lake” at the Museum of Arts and Design. The show features renowned stars Natalie Portman and Moses Ingram, and marks its global debut on Apple TV+ with the release of the first two episodes on July 19, 2024, followed by weekly episodes until August 23, 2024.
Set against the backdrop of Baltimore in 1966, “Lady in the Lake” delves into the intertwined lives of Maddie Schwartz, portrayed by Natalie Portman (Léon: The Professional, Foxy Trotter), a housewife turned investigative journalist, and Cleo Johnson, played by Moses Ingram, a mother navigating through the complexities of Black Baltimore.
Their paths collide in a gripping narrative that unravels the consequences of their pursuits in a noir thriller that explores the sacrifices made in the pursuit of dreams.
This seven-part series, helmed by visionary director Alma Har’el (Honey Boy, Jellywolf), features an ensemble cast including Y’lan Noel, Brett Gelman, Byron Bowers, and more, delivering a compelling storyline woven with mystery and intrigue.
